About one year ago I was intimate with a new partner. I just recently have had some itching which I assumed was a yeast infection. I have had no blisters, no fever, aches, or pain urinating but I do notice an open sore. I'm wondering if this may be due to itching and if it is possible not to have an outbreak until over a year later.

I'm a girl and my GF was recently diagnosed with herpes 2... This freaked me out but she told me they said she had it n July. I had recently been tested n December and I was negative she's still dealing and sad but now I'm terrified to have sex with her just because idk how she got it. We have been together off and on for 5 years and it's just freighting she is taking her meds like she suppose to.
My question is how likely am I to get it with her performing oral sex on me? She says she haven't had an outbreak that she's aware of so I don't know when her worse days are to her OK days how do I deal with this?

I'm a 36 year old woman that has been married for 12 years been with the same man for almost fifteen years. I never had sex oral or vaginal with anyone other than my husband. About a year ago during intercourse I felt like a tear then what I presumed to be a yeast infection.
I went to my doctor and she prescribed me a yeast infection treatment said that it did not look like herpes but she would run all the tests for STDs. Now I've been to my womens doc yearly for checkups and she said that herpes is very common so that is not something they screen for. I was shocked to find out that I had it for one and for how long can't be said either.
So I guess I want to know if its possible to have had herpes for a long time and my husband was tested positive but shows no symptoms. How is that?
